VIDEO CAPTURE AND PITCH CHARTING
The new update improves the efficiency of capturing game or practice video. The new software update improves video quality of live stadium camera captures and well as portable cameras, mobile devices and screen captures from streaming services.The charting processcan be done live or after the game or practice. A parent or staff member simply watches the video or live-action pushing buttons for each pitch that describes the pitch results. All Dartfish charting panels incorporate what we call our smart roster technology This feature automates the charting process, ensuring the correct pitchers and hitters’ information is entered for each pitch. The process is similar to electronically scoring the game. We offer two levels of product.
On our My Dartfish Pro product the tagging process requires the charting person to recognize the pitch type as well as chart the pitch location as well as the hit location when the ball in put in play.

The last chart is a new feature in the updated product. We have had several requests for generating reports on defensive plays in a game. This chart allows coaches to select the defensive player, review all the balls hit to that player, and generate a video playlist on those plays.

All of the Performance reports generate video playlist based on the filtering within the report. In the report examples we have shown you how the visual player reports will help you identify the needed improvement areas of your players however, we still must develop, explain, and execute the player improvement plans. Now it is time to teach and deliver some examples to prepare or show visual teaching examples.
There is hardly anyone that disagrees with visual teaching concepts; however, this has always been a difficult task for coaches to create or find specific teaching video for their players. This task is made easy by using the reports to generate a video playlist.
Below you will see the video playlist that is automatically created based on the report filters. The coach could now review the video playlist in a live meeting, conduct a remote review session through a zoom type call or share the playlist directly to the hitter’s mobile phone with drawing markups and voice-overs.
