Dr. Rico-Sanz has been analyzing the performance of soccer players since 1992 when he analyzed all games played by the Danish National Team, European Champions, in the Euro92. For thirty years he has published numerous scientific articles on different aspects of soccer players’ physiology and performance in highly ranked scientific journals.
Using the Dartfish solution, Dr. Rico-Sanz recently created the Soccer-Grade Performance Average (Soccer-GPA), a comprehensive grading system to analyze the technical and tactical performance of players and teams.
The performance analysis done with this panel can be used to:
– set development plans and assess the progress of players and teams during the season and from season to season
– take decisions to select players, offer contracts or renewals based on the true performance value of players
– and to set standards for talent identification.
