Technology on the Bench is on the rise, now approved by ruling boards and federations. In the last few months, Soccer, Ice Hockey and Handball are accessing a connected device on the bench during the game, be it data or video – a total game changer for coaches and staff!

This means that tactical changes can be made on the bench, with live data/video access. And contested referee decisions are now made visible with this on the bench technology.

If you coach football, hockey or handball, you know that in critical game moments, you’ve got to make quick strategic decisions.

Use Dartfish Live collaboration, to make smart, fast, live tactical decisions.

Easy Setup

All devices (PCs or tablets) used for Dartfish Live Collaboration must be connected to the same network, most often a WiFi network.

Through a converter, the video game is also routed to this local network. The live video feed is then available for review and analysis on all connected devices.

To share and exchange data (mostly game tags), a collaboration session is launched and all connected devices join this session.

At this point, all connected users have access to the live game video feed and can identify sequences or game phases by tagging on their connected device.

An unlimited number of devices can be connected to the network and join the collaboration session. PCs, iOS tablets and smartphones all can be used as connected devices.

Full set-up and technical details are available here.

Main Functions

Dartfish Live Collaboration delivers the following functionalities to the connected devices:

  • Live video Streaming

The video flow is available on all connected devices.

  • Replay while Live streaming

Being on the bench doesn’t always provide the best view of the game. With live replay, users on the bench can review events from different angles and from different locations, without interrupting the recording. Coaches can easily switch between the live feed and the replay, pausing the video and using playback controls to get a better grasp of the event.

  • Game tagging while streaming

Several users can tag the game simultaneously, each bringing a different tactical perspective. All tags are automatically synchronized between all devices in real-time.

  • Filtering the most relevant events

All tagged events are available on all connected devices. This means that coaches can filter these events as needed, resulting in a focused set of sequences relevant to their coaching strategy.

  • Using enriched videos for half-time/post-game analysis and briefing

Collaborative recording of the tagged feed, combined with advanced event filtering functionalities makes half time briefings easy and efficient.

This Collaborative Tagging Feature is included in the myDartfish ProS Solution for Team Sports

It provides your team with a crucial competitive advantage.
